Using Primary Sources

There are still places remaining on this week’s History Skills workshop – Using Primary Sources: Narratives. Dawn Hollis will be taking an interactive (and rather unusual) approach to narrative sources at 5.00 tomorrow (Tuesday) in the Old Class Library.

We hope to see you there!

Primary motivation

This week’s History Skills workshop will be led by Amy Eberlin. She’ll be looking at Using Primary Sources: Records, to help you with source analysis.

It will be held in the Old Class Library, from 17.00 tomorrow (Tuesday).

See you there!

Back by popular demand…

Kimberly Sherman will be running her excellent workshop on Library and Research Orientation again tomorrow night, and there are still a few spaces left. It will take place at 17.00 in the Main Library teaching room, on Level 3. If you’d like to come along you can sign up on Moodle, as usual.

In other news, sign-up is also now open for next week’s workshop on Secondary Research: Thinking Critically, which will be given by Sean Murphy. This promises to be a hands-on investigation into how to prepare successfully for tutorials, and will take place in the Old Class Library.

We hope to see you there!

Library and Research Orientation

This semester’s History Skills workshops for sub-honours students kick off tomorrow with a workshop from Kimberly Sherman, who will be giving an unconventional introduction to Library and Research Orientation. The workshops promise to be great fun as well as informative!

The first one is now full, but if you’d like to participate in the second one sign-up is now open on Moodle. It will take place at 17.00 on Tuesday 29 September, in the Main Library teaching room (Level 3). We hope to see you there!
